Great news, spoiled vegetables being supplied to our starving livestock rather than being thrown away.
Thanks to Barbera Farms, Ross Barbera stated that he wanted to help our starving livestock as it made a huge impact on the recipients of the food they deliver, free of charge.
We want to encourage more local fruit & veg suppliers to support our starving livestock in such a simple yet successful way. Tons of stock has already been shipped out to farms around Australia, to help keep our cattle alive. Cattle have been left with little to eat due the devastating drought, and Aussie Helpers has been helping our farmers in need for over 14 years now.
In this Seven News interview (below) Brian Egan, founder of Aussie Helpers, discusses the importance of this new initiative, and Brian said “if you give a cow a fresh zuccini or tomato, it makes a cow smile, and cows do smile – they love it!”
