In this article Brian Egan discusses the dire situation so many farmers are in at the moment, and their continued efforts to support farmers including 450 tonnes of hay through hay days and 20 million litres of molasses to drought affected areas. Brian also stated Lions Clubs International have been amazing in raising over $400,000 in donations which are now going to pay for psychological services being provided to farmers direct in their homes. This is another unique aspect to the Aussie Helpers range of support mechanisms they have in place for our dedicated farmers working in extremely difficult and remote circumstances. Farmers often suffer in silence, due to their nature, and now more than ever they need our support. Over the past 14 months Aussie Helpers have visited over 800 farming families with various means of support, supports packs, stock feed and now counselling services.
Remember, Aussie Helpers do not receive ANY Government funding, we rely solely on the communities and organisations who fund our charity.
