$100,000 RELIEF FROM AUSSIE HELPERS FOR CYCLONE DEBBIE VICTIMS

Aussie  Helpers,  Australia’s  leading  rural  charity,  today  announced  that  it  would   be  assisting  primary  producers  in  areas  north  of  Marlborough  in  Central   Queensland,  specifically  Saint  Lawrence,  Lotus  Creek  and  Clarke  Creek.   The  decision  was  made  to  help  these  areas  as  they  have  not  been  mentioned  in   most  media  reports.

Aussie  Helpers’  assistance  will  ensure  communities  who  would  not  otherwise  be   aided  will  be  able  to  get  back  on  their  feet  quickly  and  will  help  spread  relief  to   farmers  in  areas  other  than  mainstream  towns.

Farming  families  will  be  visited  by  Aussie  Helpers  volunteers,  and  every  farming   family  will  receive  $500  of  vouchers  for  both  fuel  and  groceries  from  local   towns.

There  will  also  be  assistance  available  for  material  products  to  replace   pumps,  tanks  or  boundary  fences.   Agforce  will  be  working  closely  with  Aussie  Helpers  in  these  areas  to  get  support   where  it  is  needed  quickly.

Helicopter  pilots  who  donate  their  time  and  choppers  in  distributing  food  and   water  will  be  reimbursed  for  the  fuel  used  in  the  rescue  mission.

Donations  can  be  made  at http://www.aussiehelpers.org.au/donations/  Please  use  the  letters  CQ  as  a  reference
