AUSSIE HELPERS challenges Australians to keep the dream alive in the "Rural Australia"

Extreme isolation and six years of drought have taken its toll on drought affected families:

  • Loss of breeding stock

  • High incidents of depression

  • The tragedy of suicides

  • Families financially crippled

  • Family break-ups

We can win the war against the worst drought in over 100 years with your support.

Since Aussie Helpers aired on “Australian Story” on the 26 March, 2007, the nation began opening their hearts to this worthy charity. It was this program that brought the reality of the current crisis in rural Australia to the lounge rooms of the urban areas.

Brian’s story also brought to many drought affected families some hope, somewhere to turn.

Whilst the donations poured in, so have the calls for help. This has resulted in Aussie Helpers going national, with volunteers now working in every state in Australia. Aussie Helpers is providing humanity needs for fellow Australian’s – yes, purely Aussies helping Aussies.

The charity has given away over a million dollars worth of drought aid, and thanks to the generosity of fellow Australian’s this figure continues to grow.

We can proudly say that every cent donated goes back into the community. But the reality is, more donations are needed, as the drought worsens so does the desperate need for assistance.

Whilst the drought affects farmers, it increases the cost of meat, poultry, fruit, vegetables, dairy products and grain… yes, most items on supermarket shelves.

We now have the effects of severe flooding in several states and the farmers affected need our ongoing support so if you can help in any way no matter how small everything is greatly appreciated by Aussie Helpers.

Our efforts in looking after the farmers, assist in keeping the cost of living down for consumers Australia wide.
